My first attempt at crocheting was a winter hat, many years ago. Needless to say, it didn't turn out as I hoped and I don't wear the hat. I thought I would try it again. I found some instructions for dish cloths. I know a few people who use them and love them. I decided to make some for a birthday gift. Although I don't have photos, they turned out really well. Not too difficult to do, for a beginner crocheter like myself. Below is the pinned photo ( I don't have a good photo of the one I made) and here is a link to the instructions.

Wheat English Muffins
I don't know about you, but I find myself eating a lot of English muffins, usually a few a week, for breakfast. There are so many things you can do with them when toasted, put some peanut butter on them, or jam, or just plain butter. One of my favorite ways is to make an egg mcmuffin by adding a scrambled egg and some cheese. I found a recipe on Pinterest for whole wheat english muffins. Sold! I made them one afternoon and they turned out really well, as shown below. I didn't measure the thickness as the recipe calls, I just kind of eyeballed it. I've made several batches since that first batch and they are a hit. I usually freeze them a few days after I make them, pop one into the toaster to defrost, and they good as new. Find the recipe here.

Easter Eggs
Happy belated Easter!
I don't know about you, but I love coloring Easter eggs. I feel they turn out the same every year, so this year I decided to do something different. I found a website that had a few different ways to color Easter eggs, so of course I pinned it, wanting to try it this year. It requires rubber bands to get a design on the egg. Here's how mine turned out (on the left):
I actually liked the way they came out! I found that the wider the rubber band, the better. The bottom left had a wider band than the others and came out better, in my opinion. Although, they didn't quite turn out like the picture below, I still like them. If you want to try them out, click here.

Welcome!
Pinterest has become super popular with people pinning millions of things on their boards, but not everyone actually does anything with those pins. I'm slowly working my way through my Pinterest boards trying out lots of new things. I'll let you know how they turn out, what worked, and what didn't work. These posts will be short and sweet and get right to the point. You can follow me on pinterest at the name ginaphoto. So, let's start!
I wanted to bring some cookies into work, so I decided to make these delicious looking things.
They looked easy enough. Here's how mine turned out:
Not bad. I'd say they were a hit. These were pretty easy to make and were tasty! Have you made these? How did they turn out for you? For the recipe, click on the link.
